Their loyalty was tested by conflict and betrayal, leading to a tragic end where they were killed by Sliske himself or his machinations, who then raised them as undead. Ancient magic bound their souls to their tombs, preventing them from passing into the afterlife regardless of whether their armor is claimed or destroyed. The curse manifests as an unyielding duty to protect their legacy. When intruders enter the crypts and attempt to steal the gear, the brothers awaken with a fury born of centuries of imprisonment. They do not seek redemption; they seek only to reclaim what belongs to them or eliminate those who threaten their eternal rest. This cycle has repeated countless times since the first adventurer dared to pry open their coffins.
